Kahn's Story...
this gorgeous boy was rescued and is such a sweet dog. he is a big lovable teddy bear! Khan was born in a shelter to a full stock Great Pyrenees momma. He came from a large litter! After several months at the shelter, Khan thought he’d gotten super lucky! A young couple, took him home. They taught him so many commands – he won’t jump, doesn’t counter surf, isn’t a chewer and he’s completely housetrained. Khan didn’t realize his new parents were only temporary. They were expecting a new baby and didn’t have time for Khan anymore. He was super sad and lost what he thought was his forever home. He was passed onto a family with a 4 year old little boy who had as much energy as he did! Knowing how well behaved Khan was, he slept in the floor beside his new best friend for several nights. After four days of the most fun Khan had ever had, his new best buddy found out he was allergic to dogs. Khan is heartbroken. He fell in love with two families and both let him down. Khan is now in a foster home waiting so patiently for the right ones. He just don’t get it? He does everything right and still nobody wants him. He refuses to potty inside, and barks when he wants out. He is excellent with children, and small and large dogs. He is neutered, 13 mos old and already microchipped. Please give this big guy the love he deserves….. he is neutered and utd on shots...so he is ready to go once he finds his perfect family! if you would be interested in meeting kahn, please email mary at corvetteluver01@yahoo.com or rachel at rachel.c.campbell@gmail.com Most of our animals come from very high kill rural area shelters. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kahn, a Paintsville Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever for sale in Paintsville, or seeking a Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Paintsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Paintsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Paintsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Paintsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
