Here's what the humans have to say about me:
"ANNIE" has spent all her life at an Amish Puppy Mill in Wisconsin.
Picket Fence Poodle normally will NOT accept Poodles from these type of puppy mills. However, the "Minnesota Dachshund Rescue" had taken Annie on a recent rescue run from that location because no one wanted Annie and they did not want to leave her behind.
The Dachshund Rescue then asked if we would please take Annie as she is one very sweet and extremely loving Toy Poodle! Long story short: Annie has come to Picket Fence Poodle Rescue in need of a loving family willing to give her a new life!
Annie is an apricot Toy Poodle only 4 years old (10/15/2007) who is 10" tall and weighs 9 1/2 pounds. Just wait until all her hair grows back! She's going to be just lovely!
Can you see the look of hope in this Poodles eyes?
Again, Annie is a "Puppy Mill" rescue. She has never experienced the great joy of being love, held and especially being wanted. These are very sad situations, BUT Poodles are very intelligent and sociable dogs.
Annie has quickly learned how to walk on grass!! Her joy was very clearly shown on her face when she learned how to run on grass!
She is amazing on going up and down steps, will play with toys, come to me for love and learning that being picked up to be held is something wonderful!
These special Poodles do need time, patience and more time. However, I guarantee you will see the results of your work. They grow daily into the wonderful Poodle they were meant to be.
Unlike other puppy mill Poodles we've had, I have seen such a huge change in Annie in a very short period of time. She thrives with other Poodles and wants to learn so much more as she embraces the idea of being loved.
Annie's $200.00 adoption fee helps pay for only some of her Vet expenses: spay, teeth cleaning, shots up to date, worming, micro chip, blood work-up, heartworm tested negative and placed on a preventative.
Also included is her leash, collar, kennel, micro chip registration, a bag of dog food, some toys, a bed, blanket, coat for winter and lots of good information about Puppy Mill dogs to help your adoption start off on the right paw forward!
