Meadow's Story...
Sweet Meadow is a 6-month-old female kitten - full of sass and sugar! After living over a month on the grounds of the Museum Campus in Chicago, Meadow was spotted darting from bush to bush - her tiny meow of 'cries for help' were heard and she is now safe and sound in a foster home! Meadow is an amazing little girl - you would think after a month of living on her own (clearly dumped by someone @ the museum!) she would have lost faith in humans...but Meadow is willing to give us a second chance! She is so loving and sweet - yearns to be picked up and nuzzled - and especially LOVES to play with all her toys! Meadow truly is a sweetheart!

Meadow needs to be placed in a forever home with another kitten or young cat with expert playing skills! If you would like to learn more about Meadow or set up a time to meet her in purr-son, please call Cindy at 773.203.0215 or cindy@virtuallyhomechicago.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Meadow, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
