Quaker's Story...
Hi my name is Quaker. My foster Mom named me Quaker after Quaker State oil. My story is a little sad so please have a seat. I was found when I got away from some not so nice people who decided to pour burning hot motor oil all the way down my back. I was running screaming down the street when someone picked me up and rushed me to the vet. When I got to the doctor my skin was still burning and they had to wash off the motor oil off my skin. I am now getting better. Some of my hair is growing back white. My foster Mom took lots of pictures of me and said I look “wonderful.” I am very friendly and still love people. They think I am a Lab/Plot hound mix. My birthday is approximately 8/13/2011. I am up to date on all my shots and I have been fixed. Please consider me as your forever pup I deserve to have a wonderful life I promise to give you lots of love back.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Quaker, a Portland Labrador Retriever/Plott Hound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Plott Hound for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Plott Hound puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Plott Hound breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Plott Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
