My name is Max!
I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
When a local breeder type person had sold all the Rottie pups they thought they could, they dumped the two that were left. These are not fullblood (we don't think) but certainly more Rott than anything else. There they sat, awaiting their turn to be put to sleep, having done absolutely nothing wrong except be born into a world that, for the most part, views dogs as disposable items, ones that can be easily disposed of by dumping them wherever it is convenient. Many die of starvation, disease, or predators when dumped, with hardle more than a passing thought from those who dump them.
Such was the case with these two awesome little guys, except they were taken to the pound by someone who found them - at least someone who had evnough heart to get them off the streets and to a temporary shelter. Much more than can be said for the owners.
When a fan of Sweetpups saw the Rottie's pics in the pound, she couldn't help herself. They were so cure and looked so pitiful that she began to raise money to help us pull them and get them to a safe house. Our goal was to place them in foster care with a family to love them until we could find permanent homes but we were unable to find anyone that would commit to TWO-would-soon-be-large doggies and so they stayed here and soaked up as much love and attention as we have had time to give them but deserve oh so much more!
Max and Morenci and now 5 months old and need so desperately to find homes that will appreciate them for who they are. Rotties are some of them most imtelligent, loving, and loyal breeds alive as well as being absolutely beuatiful. Max and Morenci are bonded and do not like to be seperated at all so we are hoping that one special home will come forward that would love a pair. We know the odds of this happening are slim but hey, it's Christmas, and we do believe in miracles!
Both are spayed/neutered and up to date on shots, on heartworm prevention, crate and leash trained and working on potty training. Please help us share these beautiful babies with others in an effort to find someone who can give them a "Home For Christmas"!
