Magic is a beautiful grey husky with brown eyes who is approximately 3 years old. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations and heartworm medication. We were told Magic is housetrained and good with kids. He may be ok in a home with a calm female dog but he isn't always good with other males, therefore, he will not be adopted to a home with another male dog. We don't know about cats so would recommend a home without cats.

Magic was turned into a shelter because his owner thought he was a bad dog because he kept running away from home! His owner should have researched this breed BEFORE getting a husky! Think about it...this is what these dogs were intended to do. It's their nature and if you want to have one as a member of your family, you must be prepared to deal with this issue and provide a safe, secure home for the dog. It can be a challenge but it's well worth the effort. Some huskies might be ok in a 4' fence but most require a 6' fence and you still need to know where they are at all times. They are smart and fast! YOU need to be smarter.

A fenced yard will be required to adopt any of our dogs (NO exceptions). If you do not have a securely fenced yard, please do not apply. We don't feel an invisible fence is a reliable or safe means to contain this breed, therefore, we will not adopt to homes with invisible fences!
