My story

Personality: Meet sweet Jiggs. Jiggs was turned over to us by the Riverside shelter because he has a common issue with bostons called hemivertebrae. His is a mild case and although he walks a bit slowly it only hampers him while leash walking and then he is uncoordinated. Jiggs is a snuggler who is a quiet and loving boy who just likes to be in the room or yard near you. Jiggs had been attacked by what is assumed to be a possum or some other small animal and he had surgery done by us to drain hematomas in his ears and to clean up multiple bite marks on his face and legs. He is doing just fine after having the drains and sutures removed and is a very sweet boy. He loves sucking on his stuffed toys and snuggling under the covers with you at night. Jiggs does not like to be crated and as long as he has access to a doggie door he is housetrained. He does not play with other dogs and tends to just ignore them. He loves to go for car rides and loves to have a nice sunny spot in a yard to sunbathe. Jiggs would be a wonderful companion for a retired person or someone who wants a mild mannered and sweet boy to take to the office with them. This boy is just a as sweet and loving as they come. He is a bigger boy at 27 pounds but it is all cuddly love. He really needs either a home with another quiet dog or someone home most of the time. A nice yard which is securely fenced so that he can get his exercise roaming about in the yard would be his idea of paradise. He does have grade two luxating patela which the vet does not feel needs surgery.
Issues: Prefers a home with someone who is home a lot and does not like to be crated.
