My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Sweet Duchess is also quite the comedian. She is a very sweet spirited young lab mix about 1 1/2 years old. She gets along well with other dogs and loves to play. She loves her humans too and her face brightens up when her foster mommy walks in the room. She is the kind of dog who just makes you smile and laugh because she has the cutest mannerisms and comedian like behavior. Duchess is a medium to high energy girl and will do well with obedience training as she is a smart girl. She is on the small side weighing only about 45lbs. Poor girl found herself in a very high kill shelter and as most of you know, black mixes have the highest euthanasia rates. Luckily for her we decided to take her out of that plight and give her a chance at a happy life with a loving family. Duchess will do well with a family that is active and older children. She has been socialized with men, women and older children and can be cat tested if needed. Our guess is that she will think the kitties are play toys, but probably not aggressive, however to be sure, we can test her if needed. She will need help on leash walking, but takes treats nicely and is crate trained. Duchess is spayed, up to date on all vaccinations and is heartworm negative .
