Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lucky is not quite sure why she was so named...she was adopted as a tiny kitten, only to be passed along to someone else after several years...who then dumped her at a high kill shelter when she was moving out of state and decided not to include her in her plans. Doesn't sound very lucky to us...but, sadly, not unusual. Maybe her luck will change and her next home will be forever.
If an aloof, independent cat is what you're craving, Lucky isn't for you. Except for her emerald green eye color, she has the "look" & all the loving traits of a Bombay. They are great family cats, and are particularly good with children. She has lived with another cat previously and would likely be OK with a cat-friendly dog. Apartment living would suit her just fine, too, as she has a gentle, calm purr-sonality that adapts easily. Lucky loves attention, although is polite in her attempts to gain your notice by rubbing against your legs. When you sit down, don't be surprised to find her sitting beside you moments later. Curious and intelligent, she enjoys play, but is not rambunctious. Lucky has been declawed but is faithful to her litter pan and must always remain indoors. Meet her upon request at our DC adoption fair on Sunday.
