Here's what the humans have to say about me:
21 month old Beau has an all too familiar story. An elderly owner who has now decided she is too old to have a young dog so Beau is now in rescue.<
He's a nice boy whose biggest issue seems to be that he didn't get out for much socialization.
(As an example: he came without a collar as he had "lost it". Since he didn't have a collar or a harness, he clearly never went for walks). There is a rowdy gang of young male dogs in his foster home and he has begun to discover the joy of playing "racetrack". And yes, five dogs running through the house does sound like a herd of elephants!
Beau is friendly with new people but he does bark at them (that lack of socialization we mentioned). This should get better with more exposure and more outings.
Beau came into rescue with his pal Izzy so we believe he would enjoy
having another dog in his new home.
Beau is crate trained, neutered and current on his rabies. If you are interested in Beau please fill out the online adoption application at www.scdr.org
The tax deductible adoption fee for Beau is $275
