Josie's Story...
Hiya! I’m Josie, and no need to be nosey…I mean, you are probably curious as to why I have such an interesting face. Sure, I don’t look like most dogs you see at the park…there's something a little different about me...I'v got character! And good character can be hard to come by if you ask me. Now I know you're still wondering why I'v got these intriguing markings…it’s called Vitiligo, and it’s nothing to stress about. It simply causes you to lose pigment in your skin (or gain character!) that is all. Geez, much worse than my skin condition is the fact that I was a stray in rough shape…underweight, abandoned, dried out fur…geez, I was a mess! But I’m getting all fixed up, and I feel so much better now. And even worse then that is the thought of a wonderful, affectionate, dog social, crate trained, all star companion like myself is without a home to begin with! I just need someone to take me in and love me for my awesome, abundant character! 7 years old-74lbs. My adoption fee is $120 and includes; spay, microchip, 1 month pet health insurance, free vet exam, reduced cost training class, leash/collar, toy and treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Josie, a Portland Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Portland, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
