Smokey is a cheerful, sturdy, stocky little bear of a dog who will lumber right into your heart. He is gentle and outgoing, and extremely affectionate. Definitely a great dog.

Smokey is what you would describe as a true rescue dog. Although not abused, he has had a rough time due to humans not taking proper care of her. Please read our home page to learn more about how Smokey came to need a home.

As a result, we don't have a lot of details about Smokey and how he is in everyday situations. However, we do know that he is perfectly hug-sized and that he simply adores people.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Smokey, a Rockville Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Rockville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Rockville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rockville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rockville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rockville paves the way for another one to be saved.
