Ginger's Story...
This is Ginger, a 3-4 year old Mini Schnauzer picked up by a Good Samaritan as she was being dumped by a boy and his father in a park. She is such a perfect love, we just cannot figure out how someone could be so cruel. Even though she was well fed (a little overfed actually), she shows some signs of neglect. Ginger has some hair loss on her rear end and is just learning what dog toys and walks are. Since coming into our rescue, she has been exposed to cats, children and dogs. She loves them all. She also loves to cuddle and give love. She is not a barker and is house trained. Ginger is such a good dog, now all she needs is a good owner! Could you be that to Ginger?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ginger, a Lake Forest Schnauzer (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Lake Forest, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Lake Forest.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lake Forest already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lake Forest breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lake Forest paves the way for another one to be saved.
