My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! I'm Lucy, a lovely very petite tricolor. My eyes are a gorgeous deep brown (I love to gaze into my people's eyes), my head is mahogany red, and then two cute big black dots on my back. I came in to AZBHR with a fella everybody named Rickey, we were on the streets together. We were listed on the AZBHR site as a couple, but gosh, you know how it is, a gal goes to the movies with a guy and right away, everybody thinks you're engaged! He is still healing up from a nasty incident with a car, but I am just SO ready to go, so why wait? I am wonderful with toddlers and small children (with anyone, actually). I am housebroken of course, and am just 2 or 3. I'm small, and my new foster mom says a bit chubby, but I think I just have nice curves. I have very nice house manners, although at one of my foster homes I kinda took advantage and acted a little spoiled about getting my way, I barked, but I don't do that here. My foster mom says it is because I want to be a good dog, and I'm very bright, so I try to figure out what my people want.

I would like to live in an active household, with lots going on, as I'm quite young and love to go around and about (I'm not hyper, I just like to play with my family). I'm not shy at all, and get along fine with other dogs. I like to play with them, too, so I hope my forever home isn't full of old fuddy duddy dogs! People, oh I love them. They give me treats, and share my couch, and throw my toys, and tell me I am SOOO beautiful, and I always want to be near them.

This foster life, it is so NOT for me. Will you bring me home?
