Ginger is an older dog with LOTS of heart and soul, of very best temperament, she LOVES everyone and could make a great therapy dog going into nursing homes spreading some happieness and joy, she's a natural therapy dog she will walk towards any person to be petted
she adores people of all ages
Ginger weighs about 60 pounds and is pretty short like a Corgie with Corgie features, color and personality just a much bigger size.
She's between 7-9 yrs young (we think) and healthy, her teeth are all ok but as any older dog has tartar on them so more chew items will help with that
She came to CA from Pennsylvania 3 months ago and her mom is having big life changes where she can no longer keep her beloved Ginger so she contacted us to find her the perfect family.
We know that most people want puppies specially this time a year but we also know that there is a great person just waiting for this GEM of a dog, she has many years left in her.
Look at her eyes that show happieness and love and the kindest soul, adopting an older dog you will know what you're getting versus adopting a puppy and MUCH less work as Ginger is already trained and house broken and has no hang ups very socialized
She lived with 2 cats in her home in Pennsylvania and was best best buddies with the black cat so if you have dog savvy cats Ginger be happy to share life with them
Ginger is good with other dogs as well but looking for a well behaved calmer dog like she is not hyper jumping all over her.
She is fine with all ages of kids but if kids at home we're looking for calmer kids over the age of 8 but depending on the child we can be flexible but no toddlers or newborns
Ginger is a great dog, she actually has been around many younger kids with super vision (the way it should always be with any dog) as her mom run a day care center a few years back.
Ginger LOVES her squeeky plush toys those are her babies
Ginger is a housedog and should only be outside for potty and walks or gardening with her new mom etc, positively not an outside or backyard dog.
She loves her comfy bed next to her humans and lots of love
If you feel this is the perfect angel of a dog for you please apply once fully approved you will be able to speak with current owner to answer any questions you may have
NOT an apartment dog, looking for a home with fenced yard she can roam and play in, someone home during the day that has time and wants a dog that has lots of love to give.
Younger retired person/couple would be great for her, someone that goes for daily walks.
adoption fee, home check, vet references, fenced yard
