Helen's Story...
"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart."
-Helen Keller
Helen is a cheerful 6-7 year old female who lost her way and was found wandering near a busy intersection. After no one claimed her, she made her way to Cocker Spaniel Rescue. She was taken to an eye specialist and evaluated for sight restoration but unfortunately, the eyes are not repairable. Though she can no longer see, her other sense make up for it so once she is familiar with her surroundings, she gets along just as well as the other cocker kids. This little sweetheart is a real beauty and we absolutely adore her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Helen, a Houston Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Houston, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
