My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BAX
Male
Age: 3 yr
Adoption Fee: $200

Bax is a great dog. He does need to learn all obedience commands. I did work with Bax on sit and down. I do know that he is willing to learn using his favorite toys. I also used small pieces of turkey sausage but I think any training treat will work fine. Bax needs to know who is in charge and if the new family is not in charge, then Bax will try to take charge. When he is in an uncertain situation Bax will growl and try to nip at the person or thing involved and he has learned this behavior will produce results, which is leave me alone. It's kind of his way of appearing dominate when he is really fearful. I have not seen Bax around children, but feel sure children will be fine 9 years old and up. Bax appears to be a one owner dog and will do good as an only dog. If other dogs are in the new home, they need to be confident enough to correct Bax when he feels grouchy or overly assertive with a toy. He will challenge little dogs that cannot or will not defend themselves. Bax has the tendency to be destructive when left alone in the home unattended and my advice is to crate him when gone. Bax has been crate trained well and this is not a problem and I think Bax enjoys having a special place all to himself. I think Bax would excell with the program "Nothing in life is free". This where Baxt will earn everything he gets.
