My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chance is an adorable little dog that would fit easily into any home situation. He is friendly with everyone, loves cats and would be excellent with children of all ages. He is a young adult dog that was obviously someone's pet as he walks nicely on leash, is fully house trained and a wonderful little companion. He weighs just under 10 lbs.

Here is what his foster family had to say about Chance:

Chance is just a little sweetheart of a dog. From his adorable little face to his quiet, sweet nature he will steal anyone's heart in a second. He loves absolutely everyone and everything. He is not shy and greets everyone with a wagging tail. He is fully house trained and we have never had to crate him and instead he sleeps quiet and contentedly on the end of our bed.

When Chance first came into our home it was the cats he followed around and wanted to be with so I am sure he came from a home where he had a cat friend. He is extremely gentle and even a cat that had never seen a dog before would not have a problem. He wasn't as sure about the other dogs although he accepted them easily but it took a couple of days before he learned how to play and now he just loves to play with our other small dogs. We have also had him around large dogs and there was no problem. It is amazing how accepting he is of everyone and everything.

I don't think we have heard him bark ever, not even when someone comes to the door. He just goes to the door and waits to see who is coming in and then greets them with a wagging tail. He would be great for someone that lived in an apartment as he doesn't need a lot of exercise although he does enjoy his daily walks. On leash he is perfect and he proudly prances along beside you. Even a very young child could walk him with no issues.

I really can't think of anything to say about this dog that is an issue. He is just a wonderful little companion that likes to be wherever you are. He loves to go for walks, loves meeting new people, loves to snuggle on the couch but is happy to just play with toys on his own. He does like to be wherever you are when you are in the home and I am not sure how he would be left on his own without other pets but I am sure he would soon get used to it. It would be nice if he found a home with a family or someone that was home a good part of the day because he does like to be with people. He would also be a good choice for someone that was able to take their dog to work because he is small, listens well and is very quiet.

Chance has a lovely coat and needs nothing more than a brushing now and then to keep him looking his best. He enjoys sleeping in his dog bed and would just love to be someone's best friend.
