Casper's Story...
Casper is semi-feral. He is an extremely beautiful kitten with amazing blue eyes and all white except for 2 gray smudges on his forehead. He was rescued from a feral colony of cats that fed at a grocery store. He loves to play with people and alone. He is extremely affectionate to his foster mother, purring and rubbing when she pets him; he lets his foster father pet him, too. He is still very fearful of strange people, loud and new noises and needs continuing socialization. He is about 8 months old, neutered, has rabies and 1 distemper shots; deflead; tested negative for HIV/Luk/heartworm. To meet Casper at his foster home, call 413 568-4252 or 413 313 3818. kmmeyer@comcast.net

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Casper, a Westfield Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Westfield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Westfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
