Drella's Story...
Drella was trapped and admitted through our TNR program. When she first came in she was very sweet and trusting however VERY dirty. After spending a little time in a foster home she came back to us a new woman! She is now sleek and shining and gorgeous. Her foster father even told us that she was the best foster cat ever (and he has had quite a few). Drella seems to be a little bit nervous about the other cats around her, but she is perfectly sweet and charming with humans. Drella was born in November of 2010

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Drella, a Chicago Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
