Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Meg. She's a real lover and a very special girl. When she was brought into the shelter at four months of age she was covered in mange. The shelter workers knew right away what a sweet girl she was and called for help. She's healthy, happy, and energetic now, but still has scarring on her face from her previous life.
Meg doesn't let her past get her down! She adores people. ESPECIALLY children. She loves sleeping on the bed, is great on leash, and is house trained as well as crate trained. At forty pounds and approximately ten months of age, she's a high energy pup but is already settling into a medium energy dog and has almost achieved her adult weight. She's devoted to her humans and wants to be in the same room with her "people" at all times. She even loves to gently touch them with her head, paw, or even her tail whenever possible for that extra reassurance.
She's sharing a foster home with three dogs and two cats and enjoys a backyard but prefers to play with her human family rather than be alone in the yard. She's very smart and her foster parents have enjoyed watching her figure things out. Above all they've enjoyed helping her become healthier and happier with each passing day.
Meg has been heartworm tested negative and is on heartworm prevention, spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped.
Meg is listed on Petfinder by FOR as a service to an independent rescuer and is not affiliated with FOR. To learn more about Meg and request an application, please email Michele.maxson@gmail.com. Meg is fostered near Huntsville, AL
