Snowman & Snowflake's Story...
RETURN PENDING -- They scratched the furniture, so the Ultra Cool Fools are being returned ... These two are too cute to be foster cats -- they need a home ASAP! Their story: Snowman (M) and Snowflake (F) along with a number of their littermates, were turned in at Amelia Animal Control as “unwanted” by a barn owner who said he was “overrun with cats.” Guess he never heard of spay-neuter, but he did hear how he could turn in unwanted animals like trash, I guess. This pair is so cute, outgoing, sweet and unaggressive that there’s no way we couldn’t save them when we heard their time was up. These are definitely companion animals who want to be with you, sleep with you and be wherever you are! They’re good at the vet, easy to put in a carrier and travel fine. They’re tidy, playful and goofy, fine with other cats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Snowman & Snowflake, a Chesapeake Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chesapeake, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Chesapeake.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chesapeake already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chesapeake breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chesapeake paves the way for another one to be saved.
