My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Listed 12-12-11
Big Chief came from a breeder in Missouri. We just got him a couple of days ago, and he is such a happy boy, his tail never stops wagging, but he is very confused with all of this new found freedom. He does not know what a dog bed is, so he will lay on the floor next to the bed. He has never been outside so he does not understand that is where he should go potty. He does not know how to use doggy steps, or about the edge of the sofa. (he is like a baby and will walk right over the edge.) He has a lot to learn.
He is feeling much better now, after he has been on antibiotics for the week, his mouth was so infected he could not eat the food given to him. Now his mouth feels better and he is eagerly eating his soft food. We took him to the vet where he had a dental cleaning and lost 7 teeth!
He was NOT neutered but was not interested in breeding, the vet says he has very low testosterone. We have had him neutered now too. (It makes me wonder if that is why the breeder surrendered him???????)
We did blood work and he appears to be very healthy now...........
He will be getting his vaccines and wellness exam and heartworm test, and micro chip this week. Then he will be ready to go to his new home.He is 8 years old, sable in color and weighs 5 pounds.
He had lived his whole life in a cage, and now my dream for him is to be someone's Prince!!!
I would hope he could find a home with a retired couple who could give him a lot of loving and lap time!
His adoption fee is $125.00
Please note that we do not adopt to families with children under the age of 10 years old and we require a securely fenced yard.
