Tonka is a very sweet loving mellow boy who would love daily walks and cuddle time with his super loving family where someone is home during the day
He is about two years old and weighs about 60-65 pounds. He loves hanging out with his people and chasing a tennis ball. Tonka can sit and shakes on demand and is completely crate trained though he prefers to sit on the couch with you instead
Tonka doesn't stray from the house or yard (but we prefer a fully fenced yard for him to play in)
He walks well on a leash and is best mannered with a chest harness on.
Tonka has never been interested in other dogs or cats when they walk by so could easily be trained living with dog savvy cats and an owner that knows how to intro a dog and cat and train both to live together in harmony
Tonka plays well with kids and has spent some time with smaller kids and done well however if kids we prefer older kids that are calm and gentle like he is
Tonka will do best and thrive in an evironment with people home during the day to keep him company. Tonka has never been known to chase cars or dig in the yard nor jump the fence, he's not a barker and of best temperament
Tonka loves little doggie treats and is a fast learner no doubt using treats as a training tool will grow this dog as he catches on quickly and very smart., he's so smart that he could easily be trained as a service dog as he already knows how to open doors
Tonka is looking for a super loving and dog experienced home country or city is fine for him as long as he has someone to love that loves him, he will bond for life
Tonka has a story to tell but only to his forever family
Tonka has no hang ups nor any aggression that we have seen, he's best as a companion dog to humans as he does not care about playing with other dogs so if a dog at home a older very mellow dog that does not jump all over him trying to play would be best or as only dog
According to his prev. owner he was raised with cats but is the only dog at his foster home living with 2 kids a girl and a boy in 4th and 6th grade.
Tonka is not a water dog and does not like to get his feet muddy but is fine when giving a bath he's such a easy going boy
