Atticus's Story...
ATTICUS is a very regal looking Siamese/Ragdoll looking male approximately 4 years of age, nicknamed Captain Crook becuase of his tail, short with a crook towards the end. Dumped at Mat-Su Animal Control after "the landlord" found that a cat was living where pets weren't allowed (really...when will people ever learn?). A bit grouchy when introduced to new surroundings, but that is short lived. Just give him a day or two and that grouchiness turns into a very sweet, loving, animated kitty that just wants attention and to play. He is even learning to walk on a leash and harness. Does very well provided you go in the direction he is headed. Would be a great addition to any family. If Atticus was a human, he'd be deemed the class clown with his antics.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Atticus, a Anchorage Siamese cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siamese for sale in Anchorage, or seeking a Siamese cat from a breeder in Anchorage.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Anchorage already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Anchorage breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siamese breeders who help with Siamese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Anchorage paves the way for another one to be saved.
