Sash's Info...

I am already spayed, not good with kids, and good with dogs.

Sash's Story...
Sash is a one-year-old, spayed female Border Collie mix, our best guess on the mix is with Samoyed, a northern breed. She is a pretty tri color girl with a dark head and a predominantly white body, and she is about the size of a Border Collie. Sash is up to date on her shots, is crate trained and seems to be housebroken.

She is a happy dog that gets along with everyone she meets. She loves people and is good with other dogs. She is learning about respecting cats. Sash is an active dog, and will need an active family. She hasn't been taught much in her short life, so obedience school will be a requirement of her adoption. Sash has the makings of a great family dog. Children over 8 are OK. She will be fostered in New Hampshire.

You MUST first fill out an adoption application AND have a home visit BEFORE being considered for any NEBCR dog. As this process can take time, we recommend that you complete these first 2 steps BEFORE inquiring about a specific dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sash, a Stephentown Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Stephentown, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Stephentown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Stephentown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Stephentown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Stephentown paves the way for another one to be saved.
