Sophie's Story...
Sophie has had a rough life that almost ended on death row at a high kill shelter. She came to S.C.A.R.S. a scared & beaten little girl. She lacked confidence and was scared of everything! She has been making great strides and is now ready for a family who will love her forever! She has been getting along with the other dogs here but would prefer to be the only dog or with a male doggie friend as she wants and needs all the affection. She LOVES to cuddle and will lay on the couch with her head in your lap all day if you'll let her! She is very well behaved and obedient. The pictures do not give her justice as she is a very pretty girl with the cutest underbite! Her adoption fee of $125 includes all shots and her spay.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Claypool American Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer for sale in Claypool, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer dog from a breeder in Claypool.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Claypool already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Claypool breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Claypool paves the way for another one to be saved.
