Marley (1738)'s Story...
Marley is a beautiful, young Yellow Lab. She was dropped off at the shelter December 14th. Her family gave her up because she was chewing on things. (She's a LAB!!) They said Marley is only a year old and is up to date on her shots. We are not sure how she get along with other dogs, small children or cats. Marley has been exposed to older children and she does great with them. If you are interested in adopting Marley, you can visit her at the Lauderdale County Animal Shelter located at 3265 Curve Nankipoo Rd in Ripley, Tennessee. Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8am-2pm. (Closed Noon-1pm for lunch.) We are also open 8am-Noon on Saturday. Closed on Sunday. Our phone number is (731) 836-7387. New animals arrive daily so please come visit if you don't see what you are looking for on our website. If you are a rescue group or out-of-state adopter interested in our animals, please e-mail us as helplcas@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marley (1738), a Ripley Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Ripley, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Ripley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ripley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ripley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ripley paves the way for another one to be saved.
