My story

Looking for a one in a million dog? Here I am. You’ll never meet another Ernie. No matter where I go, I always have a big smile on my face and I have never met a stranger. I was rescued from the West Memphis Animal Shelter and now I am waiting for a new family to call my own. I am about 18 months old, 50 pounds, neutered, heartworm negative, and current on my vaccines. I love to meet new people, go for long walks, eat treats, chase birds, learn new things, and play with toys. I obedience trained, and I am just waiting to show you everything I know. I am looking for someone with an active lifestyle, a fenced in yard, and lots of time and love for me. I would make a very loyal companion for you and your family. Please make me your new best friend.

Did I happen to mention that I am an actor? On September 30, 2006, I auditioned for the role of Sandy in Annie at the Desoto Family Theater..and you guessed it... I was one of two lucky dogs to play the part. I was on stage for 16 productions in December of 2006 and boy was I a star!!! Being surrounded by the bustle of backstage and getting so much attention from kids and adults was a dream come true for me. How many dogs do you know that can act in front of a live audience? I even have a DVD of my performance that I would love to show you.

The one thing that I still don't have is a family of my own. Can you help me make that dream come true?
