Ralph's Story...
I am looking for a warm lap, a soft bed and a big heart- but dont think that make me a couch potato. I am a happy, active, outgoing Min Pin/Chihuahua mix who needs a home of my own. I do well with other dogs and am great with people. I am already crate trained and beings that I am an adult now I am through all that rotten puppy stuff. There is not a whole lot to know about my history, someone loved me once but then I ended up a stray at the shelter and all alone. So now I am looking for that lap, bed and big heart to make me feel whole again. 8 years old-20lbs (very overweight) . My adoption fee is $160 and includes; current shots, neuter, 5 week Training Class, free veterinary exam (SE Portland/Milwaukie area) ,1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ralph, a Portland Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua for sale in Portland, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
