Skeeter (1749)'s Story...
Skeeter and his little brother were dropped off at the shelter. We don't know anything about their parents. Skeeter's brother looked very much like a Dachshund. Skeeter has the same black & tan markings his brother had but he is a bit taller. His brother found his forever home within minutes of being at the shelter. Skeeter is hoping to find a good home of his own in time for Christmas. Since he still young, Skeeter should easily acclimate to any loving home. If you are interested in adopting Skeeter, you can visit him at the Lauderdale County Animal Shelter located at 3265 Curve Nankipoo Rd in Ripley, Tennessee. Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8am-2pm. (Closed Noon-1pm for lunch.) We are also open 8am-Noon on Saturday. Closed on Sunday. Our phone number is (731) 836-7387. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Skeeter (1749), a Ripley Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Dachshund for sale in Ripley, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Ripley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ripley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ripley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Dachshund breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ripley paves the way for another one to be saved.
