Super Sweet, big, young pup saved from Death Row at Devore shelter. He is active, playful, friendly and outgoing. We suspect that his great, great, great cousin once-removed, was a collie. Amilio at Collie Haven says, he is "very cute and has lots of energy! He's a big puppy; at a perfect age to establish loyalty with his forever family. He is work in progress, but will be a great companion for someone." (However, due to his size and energy level, he should only go to a home with children 10 and up.) He'll be ready to go to a new home as soon as he is neutered.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Teddy, a Gardena Chow Chow/German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chow Chow/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Gardena, or seeking a Chow Chow/German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Gardena.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gardena already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gardena breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chow Chow/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Chow Chow/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gardena paves the way for another one to be saved.
