Harley-Adopted's Story...
Harley is part of an unwanted litter, a result of a family's neglect to spay their dog. The poor babies were undernourished and dehydrated, but are now in foster homes where they are receiving the best of care. Harley is a total sweetheart who loves to cuddle. He is a very friendly boy, although he can be a bit nervous in new situations and requires a bit of time to adjust to new surroundings. He loves people of all ages as well as other dogs and cats. Harley loves to play and run around in the yard. He is house and crate trained and is working on his basic commands. Birth date 11/12/11

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harley-Adopted, a Detroit Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Detroit, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Detroit.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Detroit already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Detroit breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Detroit paves the way for another one to be saved.
