Jovie's Story...
Jovie and Buddy are siblings that came to us from northern Minnesota. They have a black longer shepherd-like coat and adorable floppy lab ears. Jovie is primarily black but does have some chocolate markings. Both pups have wonderfully gentle and sweet personalities. Jovie is in a foster home with another dog and has cat housemates as well. She is working on house training and crate training and will be vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and dewormed prior to adoption. They are 16-17 weeks as of 12/31. We think they will get to be about 55-65 pounds when full grown. Contact us at info@actvrescue.org for more questions. Adoption fee is $350. Check out our website at actvrescue.org to learn more about our mission.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jovie, a Bloomington Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Bloomington, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Bloomington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bloomington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bloomington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bloomington paves the way for another one to be saved.
