4/24/07 - Since I have had a little time to get to know Chanel and Armani, I am in a better position to know what their personalities are like and what their needs are.
First off, Chanel and Armani are a very bonded pair and will not be separated. They are both very loving pups and love to sleep with their human friends. They also love to be close to each other. During the day, they are often found lying on top of each other in a cuddle bed. Chanel has proven to be an alpha female so to that end, she will need to go to a home with no other dogs. Armani also tests the limits with other dogs and needs to be watched closely. They both love to play, but do tend to annoy the other pups in the house. In short, they need to be the only pups in their adoptive home.
Due to their size, age and energy level, they will not be adopted into a home with children of any age. This is for the safety of Chanel and Armani as well as the children.
I highly recommend that anyone looking to adopt Chanel and Armani do research about the Yorkshire Terrier breed first. Yorkie puppies can be a handful, but in the right hands and hearts they can be your best friend and grow up to be a very smart, loving part of a family. Please do not think you are just adopting two little darlings you can dress up and take everywhere. Yes, you can do that and these two love to get in their little carrier and go out....but you must realize there is more to caring for them than that! That is how so many yorkies end up homeless. They do cost a bit of money to care for properly; and they are terriers that they really think they are much larger than they are! Yorkie puppies can be a handful, but in the right hands and hearts, they can be your best friend and grow up to be a very smart, loving part of your family. Armani and Chanel are typical little yorkie puppies and love their chew toys, but WILL chew on furniture and other things that they find. They also are not totally housebroken.

4-2-07: Armani and Chanel are brother and sister and must be adopted together!
Armani just arrived at his foster parent's home this evening. He is 9 months old and weighs approximately 6 pounds.
