Buddy is a purebred Golden Retriever. He is 3 years old. His foster family is quite fond of him, and reports:
Buddy is quite the gentleman. He loves to play ball, loves to go for walks has come in to GRFR from a loving family who now is traveling too much to take care of him the way that he deserves. He is so cute, he will bundle up his leash in his mouth and go around to each person with his sweet face and gently place his leash in your lap . . . taking him for a walk is a joy. Buddy's first family obviously walked often with him in his previous home and enjoys all the great smells and things that a walk has to offer a dog. And, bonus -- he also will not bark at the other dogs barking at the fence when he walks by.
He is tall, well built, and weighs about 85, a perfect weight for him. He is a gentle giant in many ways. He would love to play with another dog, but also will be OK in an active family who gives him lots of social time and daily walks.
His foster sister is a little dog, only 20 pounds, and he gently drops the ball at her feet in an effort to get her to play ball with him. It's of no use, but he's OK with that, he just goes ahead and play balls by himself.
All this and, as you can see, he is a gorgeous boy and trustworthy with free roam in the house when you are at work, or out and about and cannot bring him along. Buddy loves to go outside when we are home. He also enjoys his time alone keeping watch out the patio door, looking for rabbits and watching for squirrels. Buddy will be an outstanding furry family member for a lucky GRFR home!
