Hello, my name is Midnight. The shelter has been my home for quite some time . I've seen so many puppies and younger dogs get adopted, but I remain here, waiting for my chance. I know that when you look at me I'm not much, my face is grey, my coat doesn't shine and when I meet you I get very nervous. But inside I yearn to come out of my shell, I just need to find the right person that is willing to work with me and love me endlessly. I dream of one day being adopted, but I will be grateful if at least I can find someone that is willing to foster me.

About Born Free Pet Shelter

About Our Shelter...

Born Free Pet Shelter is a No Kill 501(c)(3) non-profit dog rescue organization that has been helping homeless dogs since 1980. Located on a beautiful 5-acre refuge in the Redlands of South Florida, Born Free rescues dogs in distress and offers them the chance to lead happy and healthy lives.
We are currently responsible for over 160 dogs, ranging from puppies to seniors.
With the help of generous donations and the tireless efforts of our volunteers, we provide the love and care that they deserve.
Some of our dogs will live out their days at the shelter, but we have so many that would make wonderful companions if given the chance.

Come Meet Our Pets...

You can meet our adoptable dogs at any of these locations:
Petco (1635 NW 107th Avenue) every Saturday 12pm - 3pm
Petsmart (13621 S Dixie Hwy) every Sunday 11am - 3pm
Petco (Miami Beach) 1st Saturday of every month

For adoptions, please send an email to geraldinebornfree@gmail.com.

Our Adoption Process...

At the time of adoption it is essential that a fee be charged as it will be used to feed and maintain the animals that are housed at our shelter. The adoption fee includes DHPP vaccine, rabies vaccine, microchip and sterilization. We do a home check prior to approving any adoption.
