Felicia's Story...
Hi, I'm Felicia and I'm all kitten!!! I’d love a home with space to roam and lots of toys to play with! I love wrestling with other cats, and I would probably do well with kids and dogs; especially if they'll play with me! So, I would like you to take me home and give me lots of toys and treats and a fluffy bed; and in exchange, I’ll play with all of it and be adorable. Does that sound like a deal? I think it sounds great!

Felicia’s adoption fee is $40; she’s up to date with routine shots, litter box trained, micro-chipped and altered. Please call the shelter at 618-282-7387 for more information on Felicia.
Date: 1/15/12

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Felicia, a Columbia Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Columbia, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Columbia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia paves the way for another one to be saved.
