My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Milky Way’s owner had to go into a long term care facility. The owner hated to give her up, but she is glad she got rescued because she still has a lot of life in her! She has a hearty appetite and likes to see what everyone else has left in their bowls (not much) but hasn't shown any food aggression. She has arthritis in her back legs, and the vet has her on Tramadol for that but she gets around pretty good for a gal of 14! She's a real love bug and has especially taken a shine to her foster dad. She likes attention and kisses. Her hair is real soft and silky, especially her ears. She is fully housetrained. She is pretty good on a leash but is a typical basset and prefers to follow her nose. She's pretty obedient for a basset. She actually comes when called and stops doing things when you tell her no. We have not had an opportunity to test her with kids or cats to evaluate that fully, but she's very good-natured so we don't foresee her having problems.
