June's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

June's Story...
June and her brother Johnny were kept in a dark, feces-filled chicken coop in KCK. A relative called for help and the owner signed both of these babies over to Chain of Hope. They are about 7 mo. old and so happy to be free from the hellhole they lived in. June is the smaller of the two, weighing about 30 lbs. She loves to play with other dogs, loves to lick peanut butter off a spoon and loves human attention. She is in a foster home doing very well. Please go to www.chainofhopekc.org and fill out an application on our "Adoptions" page, if interested in bringing this little cutie home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

June, a Kansas City Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Kansas City, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Kansas City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kansas City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kansas City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kansas City paves the way for another one to be saved.
