My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I ain't no "Hound Dog" but my foster mom tells me I can sing!! That is how I got my name. I am sweet and affectionate. When you come visit me at Petco you will see what a good cat I really am. "Are You Lonesome Tonight" then come on down in your "Blue Suede Shoes" and take me home so we can "Rock Around the Clock Tonight".
This young man, almost a year old, was found, taken in and immediately identified as needing special care/vetting. CATS agreed to have him examed and treated. Elvis had a ruptured eye... there was no choice but to have surgery done to clean and close it. He was also sickly and needed 3 to 4 weeks of recovery care. He went to a "special foster" for 3 weeks where he recovered and adjusted. After 3 weeks, he had the name Elvis because he would sing to his new friends! He really enjoys to play with balls, bottle caps and anything that lands on the floor. If his toys get stuck under furniture, he stands in front of it to alert his people that they need to reach under to retrieve his play things. He was best buddies with another male cat. The female cat was very alpha but Elvis stood up the her and all 3 ended up friends. Though Elvis may have only one eye, it has not effected his cat life style in any way.
Elvis is neutered and up to date on all of his shots.
You may obtain an online application by logging on to CatAdoptionRI.org or by emailing catadoptionteam@aol.com. All of the cats and kittens are adopted out with Rhode Island State mandated proof of spay or neuter. In order to take your new cat or kitten home with you, there must be an approved application prior to adoption day. Application approval is usually within 24-48 hours.
We, at CATS, are very proud of all of the cats and kittens that we help facilitate finding new forever homes, and work very hard to make sure they are happy, healthy and well socialized. All of the cats and kittens are fed only Royal Canin cat food.
We are at the Providence Petco, located at 585 N. Main Street, Providence, RI every Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm and you are welcome to come by and see all the cats and kittens that are looking for new 'Forever Homes'. Hard copy medical records accompany each cat and kitten on adoption day as each cat or kitten is completely vetted prior to their adoption.
The adoption donation is $150.00 each after an approved application. This is not a sale, but an adoption donation. The policy is that all of our cats and kittens will be adopted out spayed or neutered, tested for feline aids/leukemia, and have all age appropriate shots. There will not be any adoption of any cat or kitten that has not been spayed or neutered first. There will be no exceptions. This means that there is less out of pocket costs for people who adopt a cat or kitten from us and you will be in 100% COMPLIANCE WITH THE SPAY/NEUTER LAW TOO!
