Lacey's Story...
Name’s Lacey, and yes… My heart is as soft and my face as pretty as the
finest silk lace. I adore all walks of life… Children, other dogs, the
kitty cat… And yes… I’m quite sophisticated for a 9 month old gal… I’m
already crate trained and rumor has it I am housebroken too. Plus I am
smart as could be, I enjoy playing in the back yard or going for a run …
and after some playtime I love a good nap. I can’t wait to go to obedience
school, (see, I’m very eager to please!) because I find learning new
things to be quite enjoyable… What do you say friend? My adoption fee is
$220 and includes; spay, microchip, reduced cost training class, 1 month
pet health insurance, free vet exam, leash/collar, food sample, toy &
Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lacey, a Portland Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Portland, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
