Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DJ is a sweet Shih Tzu. He was running on a Redland road and was very lucky not to have gotten run over by a tractor! We think he was dumped and although he did have a microchip, it wasn't registered. His ears were infected and was covered in fleas. A vet guesses his age is about 8-10 years young.
DJ was adopted in 2012 but recently returned because the owner had to move to an apartment that didn't allow dogs.
DJ is quiet, personable, loves to travel and be cuddled. He gets along with dogs, kids and adults. He does chase cats though. His foster mom says he's well-behaved and very special. Please email adopt@thisisthedog.com for an application.

3. Complete Adoption Contract
4. Adoption Donation is $150 for dogs. Adoption donation for dogs includes Spay/Neuter, Up to Date Vaccines, Microchip, Deworming, and Heartworm Check if needed.
5. Thank you! This is the Dog! does not have a shelter. Our dogs are in boarding and in foster homes primarily in Homestead, FL. We are a small group of volunteers. It is worth the drive South from Miami or North from the Keys to find your canine companion. This Is The Dog! for you!
