Jaxon's Story...
Jaxon is a very loving dog that only wants to be loved in return. He loves to cuddle up with you and as long as he is touching you he is content. He is shy around strangers but it doesn't take long for him to get to know you. He is crate trained and while we are home with him he is fine in the house. He will give you plenty of warning when he needs to go outside and is given a treat for that. He is crated when left alone in the house and does great but can have accidents if left loose in the house alone for too long.

>Sadie's dogs may never be chained or tethered outside. We do not adopt to outdoor only homes so please inquire only if you are comfortable allowing this sweetheart to live in your home. All adults in the family must be aware of and agree to the adoption. Applications/contracts are required for all Sadie’s adoptions, home visits and follow up may be requested. All Sadie's dogs are tested for Heartworm, up to date on vaccines and altered prior to adoption.
Sadie’s adoption fees run from $140 per dog. Adoption fees help cover spay and neuter, vaccines and foster care.
For more information, please email or call with your contact information and why you are interested in a particular dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jaxon, a San Angelo Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in San Angelo, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in San Angelo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Angelo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Angelo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Angelo paves the way for another one to be saved.
