I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Gunner's Story...
Gunner is a funny old man. He loves hanging out in the garden checking out the flowers and trees. He loves a good petting but enjoys his alone time too. He is about 13 yr old and gets daily eye drops for his dry eye. We are looking for a Sancatuary home for this boy in the Santa Barbara/ Ventura/San Louis Obispo counties where we take care of all his medical costs and you provide a loving home. Can you help?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gunner, a Santa Barbara Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Santa Barbara, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Santa Barbara.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Barbara already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Barbara breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Barbara paves the way for another one to be saved.
