Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Payton & Lambeau were adopted from our rescue but family circumstances are forcing their mommy and daddy to try find them a new family.
FROM THEIR MOMMY:
They have been through puppy training and half of an essentials course. They can "sit, stay, come, down, play nice, no jumps, no barks, off, wait, leave it, drop it, get it, go to bed & lay down". Off and on-leash trained. House trained. Kid trained. They will also follow commands from a child as long as the child is assertive and patient. They are fully socialized in group settings and go to dog parks regularly. For instance...I brought them to a company holiday party full of food, kids, and over 100 people and was able to let them off their leashes with no problems or complaints. They are model dog citizens and terrific companions. They go into their crate with the simple command of "go to bed". They crate together and do not like to be away from each other, especially to sleep overnight. They are sometimes allowed to sleep in our bed, but are bed hogs. They love to snuggle.
My girl is sweet, hates loud noises (but is getting better at it), is a huge people-pleaser, loves kisses, loves to go for 3 mile runs (or more). She gets moody and sad if she's not had a chance to run in about 3 days and acts out by playing with your socks/shoes or whining and looking at you while putting herself in a sit-stay. She is patient and will let her brother eat first. She hates car rides but is starting to get used to them with the help of some dramamine and positive reinforcement (car rides often to a dog park). She used to get car sick and drool a lot or throw up. But she seems to be growing out of that. She stays by her mom (me) and is very patient and gentle with her paws and mouth.
My boy is also sweet, is unaware of how big he is (thinks he's still a small pup) and is more assertive. He is off leash trained, but if left outside without supervision off-leash he will tend to wander and explore. He quickly comes back when you call his name, though. He will overeat if you let him and we have recently trained him to stop eating all his sister's food. He's a piggy! He is a little less gentle with his paws than his sister and will put his weight on you with his front paws when he wants attention. His major bad habit is that he tries to suckle/nibble on men's ears. I'm sure with a guy in his life who will take the time for some stern but patient training he will quit doing this. I just want to make sure people are aware so they can avoid or correct the behavior...which I easily do. But he WILL try! He thinks it's a game and my exboyfriend always laughs and loves it when he does it. Hmmm. Also very gentle when receiving treats.
They can both do a down-stay for over 5 minutes, even if you leave the room. Very patient and amazing dogs!!!
