Matty's Story...
Meet Matty, an adorable shepherd mix with soulful eyes and a zest for life! He is one happy boy who loves playing with other dogs, rolling in the snow, and getting attention from his new friends. We rescued this handsome boy from Chicago Animal Care and Control; he reminded us of several of our favorite New Leash alumni (both in looks and demeanor) so we couldn't leave him behind.

Matty is a smart and food-motivated boy who would really excel at training. We'll update Mikey's profile as we learn more about him, but in the meantime check out NLOL's facebook page for more pictures of him, or fill out an application to make Mikey a new member of your family

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Matty, a Chicago Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Rottweiler for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Rottweiler breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
