I don’t know why Ginger was dumped at a shelter. She has perfect manners, no jumping on you or furniture and is completely housebroken . Ginger refused to get in the crate but really has no need to be crated. She gets on her blankee and never destroys a thing while I’m at work. She’s a lover, not a terror. In fact Ginger demands her scratches and will push and push and talk and talk till she gets your attention. She was tested at the shelter with both small dogs and a cat and totally ignored both so she may do extremely well with a kitty in residence. She has gotten on well with all my dogs - a male and female dobe and a little schipperke. Ms. Ginger is a bit chubby, cropped, docked beautiful 4.5 yo. She is overweight because her thyroid condition was not being treated but is on daily meds now. Between being on meds and some good exercise, she will get that girly figure back. Ginger really does not know how to play with other dogs. You can see she wants to but has no clue how to go about it. When turned out in my large fenced area the first time, she just stood by me. The second time out though, off to the races with the others. She can’t keep up due to her weight but it won’t be long. Ms. Ginger is a calm dog who listens well. Won’t you come see her and give her love. That’s all she wants, her own home with lots of love and attention. Ms. Ginger would be great for a first time dobe owner.
