Dante's Story...
Dante is a male Chihuahua mix, approximately 2 years old, weighing 12 lbs. He was found stray and ended up in a kennel without an adoption program before he came to Underdog ResQ. He is a very sweet and loveable dog. He may be just a little guy, but he has the heart of a giant. He is much calmer than the average Chihuahua mix. He loves people and is very affectionate, always wanting to be close and cuddle. He does well with other dogs, regardless of size. He is playful, but can recognize when another dog is not interested in playing. He is doing well with his crate training, and gets very excited when he is let out of the crate. He can be energetic when playing, but calms down once play-time is over. He is doing well with being housebroken. Since he was a stray, he is being taught structure and routine, and is also learning commands. Having been recently rescued, he is extremely loving and loves attention and affection. Dante is a sweetheart, and would make a wonderful addition to any home.

If you think Dante sounds like a catch and a great match for your family please read about Underdog ResQ’s adoption process on where you can also complete the adoption application today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dante, a Framingham Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Framingham, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Framingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Framingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Framingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Framingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
