Itchy's Story...
My name is Itchy but you can just call me Angel cuz I should have been born with wings. I am a beautiful 5 month old American Eskimo Dog mix with a sugar sweet personality. I can get a little spicy though is I am pestered too much (I am an American Eskimo you know!) so a home with older children is important. Sometimes I am timid when first meeting someone new but I am just a baby and haven’t met a lot of people yet so the more socialization I get the better. I am housebroken already though! I still have some growing to do so I am gonna be a little bit bigger than a purebred Eskimo dog, probably about 30-35 pounds. So come on, what more could you ask for? 5 months old- 18lbs. My adoption fee is $225 and includes; current shots, reduced cost neuter and $25 neuter rebate, 5 week Training Class, free veterinary exam (SE Portland/Milwaukie area) ,1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Itchy, a Portland American Eskimo Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Eskimo Dog for sale in Portland, or seeking a American Eskimo Dog puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Eskimo Dog breeders who help with American Eskimo Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
